For Spring (or any time of year). 2 different decorations can be made here.

You will need (for both A and B):

• Paper doilies – different shapes and sizes can be used. We have used just the round for these.
• Paper in various colours and patterns and textures (tissue paper is good as it lets the light through)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Bakers Twine (other string can be used)
• Beads/bells or buttons
• Egg shape template.
• A laminator (optional)

Instructions for A:

• From the paper, cut our various different sized egg shapes by folding the paper in half and then cutting half an egg shape out. We have included a template for this to guide you.
• Layer these with the largest at the bottom and the smallest on top to make a design you are happy with. Glue together and mount on a doily,
• Also make some that are not mounted on a doily.
• These are best if laminated as they can then be hung freely in window and other places where the light will filter through the doily and thinner papers like tissue paper.
• If no laminator in available they can be stuck to windows with honey (works as well as glue and washes off easily leaving no marks).

Instructions for B:

• Cut out 3 or 4 of the same sized egg shapes in different paper.
• Fold in half.
• Put all shapes together and stitch down the middle where the folds are , fold a loop at the top and finish with a bead/button or bell at the bottom
• Fold the sides of the egg out to have a ‘fanned’ type Easter egg.
• The egg shapes can also be decorated in any which way you like before folding and stitching them together.

This project can be used for most shapes that are ‘mirrored’ such as bells, hearts, circles etc.

Great to make in all shapes and sizes for party decorations to hang up and around the table, in the window or from the ceiling if large enough.
