With Spring and Summer well and truly on its way and some rather special events on the horizon, this season is shaping up to be a busy one.

If you haven’t already started to prepare for a couple of fun and festive days in red, white and blue, might we suggest you do this sooner, rather than later or you might well miss out on the best from pipii. Party decorations and accessories, both big and small to make this a special celebration for you and your kids to remember. Consider The Royal Wedding the warm up and those of you who didn’t quite get it together last year, don’t worry… For you have got the chance to make sure you do this year! It’s history in the making and what better, we can participate and create our own memories of this special celebration.
There is no excuse …just get going – plenty of things you can make and create yourself, add a few Union Jack rock sweets, festive red, white and blue decorations, some Union Jack cocktail umbrellas and stripy straws and these will be festive days not easily forgotten for a long time!!

Early Summer 2012

Other than the very spectacular red, white and blue occasion there are a couple of other great imminent seasonal celebrations:

Earth day – 22nd April - not terribly well known, but we think, an important one. A day to celebrate the great earth we live on and educate our kids on how to take care of it. Go for a picnic on your bikes, make a scavenger hunt, bake cakes and make one or two energy saving pledges for this year.

St George’s day on the 23rd April, another great excuse to have special day. Learn a little about England’s customs and traditions, knights, castles and dragons…something for every one! And if you have a budding actor don’t forget to mention William Shakespeare, he was both born on and died on the 23rd April!!

Mayday celebrations take place the weekend of 5th -7th may and is always a great excuse for picnic and outdoor events.

No need to mention what happens between 2nd –5th June all over the UK. Only one British monarch has ever before celebrated a Diamond Jubilee, and that was Queen Victoria in 1897.

Finally don’t forget the get the kids to make daddy breakfast in bed on the 17th June.. What a couple of months to look forward too!!

We must just mention the gorgeous pastel coloured honeycomb balls making their first appearance on our website. Fantastic colours, in many sizes, for summer weddings and garden parties. Add coloured polka dot straws the prettiest party of them all!
