Scandinavian Soft Honey Gingerbread

To me, this is the smell of Christmas and what I will be doing with my kids today.
This is the only gingerbread you will find baking in Denmark. Soft and delicious tasting hearts, mostly decorated with a thin coat of dark chocolate with a vintage decoupage image of Father Christmas or Angels on top finished off with your name written in white icing. They are hung in windows and on the tree as decorations prior to being eaten.



 This dough also make excellent gingerbread houses as this is a slightly thicker dough and biscuit when cooked compared with the traditional gingerbread biscuit base.
