Delicious, easy to make recipe for flapjack. Double the portion to make sure that you have got enough. Excellent snack for mid-morning coffee or for the children’s lunch box.



  • 75 grams of butter
  • 50 grams light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 175 grams of porridge oats


Put the butter, sugar and golden syrup into a saucepan and stir over a low heat until the butter and sugar have melted.

Add the porridge oats and mix together thoroughly.

Press into a well greased 18cm square sandwich tin or round cake tin

Preheat the oven to 180C, bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes or until evenly golden brown.

Mark into portions whilst warm.

Allow to become almost cold in the tin before removing.
