To make the Homemade Pig’s in blankets ‘BANGERS’

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C

  1. In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar
  2. In a jug, stir in the yeast into the lukewarm milk and leave to stand for a few moments.
  3. Make a well in the bowl with flour mixture, poor in the milk/yeast mixture to combine the ingredients.
  4. Leave the dough to rise for 30 minutes while you have a cup of tea.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and roll each piece into a long piece 1cm thick. Roll the dough around the sausage, leaving the end of the sausages exposed. About 2-3cm in each end should be exposed. Make a cross section at each end of the sausage (see picture) and brush with a little oil. Once cooked you will see the reason for this.
  6. Place on a lined baking tray and leave to rise for 15 minutes, brush the dough with a little beaten egg.
  7. Bake in the middle of the oven for approx 15 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rag.

Enjoy!
