Irresistible chocolate truffles

Make your own delicious chocolate truffles with this simple recipe. Using just a few good quality ingredients you can quickly make ca. 60 perfect truffles, either for yourself, for guests or to present as a beautiful gift for your valentine. You can make large truffles to fit our festive gold and silver foil cases or present in our brown kraft box with pla window.

Takes 30 minutes to make, plus cooling/freezing

Irresistible chocolate truffles


  • 340 grams plain chocolate, 70% cocoa solids
  • 60 grams butter, softened
  • 200ml double cream
  • 50 grams caster sugar
  • 2 tbs cocoa powder


Break up the chocolate and chop finely into small pieces and put into a mixing bowl with the butter.

Place the cream and sugar in a saucepan and bring just to the boil. Pour the cream onto the chocolate and butter and beat until it is smooth and shiny. Leave overnight in the fridge to cool or freeze for a few hours, until firm enough to shape.

Use a spoon to scoop out the chocolate truffles mixture and roll into balls, roll the truffles in coca powder (optional roll the truffles in chopped pistachio nuts).
