New York Style Almonds

A Moorish savoury version – great nibbles for your Christmas drinks party – serve in Wooden Canapé 'Boats' or palm leaf plates.

New York Style Almonds


  • 150g blanched whole almonds
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons coarse sea salt
  • Some chilli
  • A couple rosemary springs


  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. In a baking tray spread almonds in one layer and toast in middle of oven until golden, about 12 minutes. Toss almonds with oil, salt, chilli and rosemary until coated well.
  3. Leave to cool before eating – serve on palm leaf plates
